Dear Angela McCown, Director
of Victim Services Division:
We urge the Texas Parole
Board of Pardons and Review to keep Ricky Carter in
prison for the full term of his sentence. His
sentence was to pay five years of his life behind
bars for each of the four girls he
essentially murdered. Let him pay it in full!
The law should show no
sympathy whatsoever for any drunken person who gets
behind the wheel of a vehicle and goes forth
willfully endangering the lives of those they
encounter, whether or not they have an accident.
Certainly there should be no sympathy for Ricky
Carter who not only had an accident, but also
single-handedly in an instant deprived the families,
the community, and the world of four innocent young
people.
Twenty years in prison seems
a very small price to pay for the lives of four fine
young ladies and the devastation it created in the
community of Brock. We strongly oppose allowing him
his freedom until the full price has been
paid.
Yours truly,
Mr. and Mrs. David B.
