Today is August 19, 2005.  While driving into work I heard about this devastating story over my morning talk show radio station. It brought me to tears. As I sat back and listened I thought of my own son and how horrific this must have been for the families of those girls. All day this issue of Ricky Carter getting out of jail has weighed heavy on my heart. This horrible crime he committed comes with consequences and there should be no second chances for this guy. Even if he serves his full 20 years, he still gets the chance to walk out of prison. And that's something those four girls will NEVER be able to do!!!!!!!!!! 20 years is NOTHING compared to the precious years lost by each one of these girls and the wonderful years taken away from their families!

Please take my thoughts and hearting heart for these families into consideration. Ricky Carter will still have a life too go back to after his time is served!!
