Dear Board:
Please vote against
releasing Ricky Carter on parole.
Beyond our moral
obligation to the four young women he killed in that
terrible crash, we have as a state and you as our
representatives a further obligation to protect each
other, our children, and our grandchildren from the
obvious dangers of Ricky Carter on the highways. It
is also very important to show those who drink and
drive that they will be severely punished. Five
years is not severe. Because his conduct resulted
in the deaths of four young women, he should serve
at least ten years in prison, and preferably the
entire sentence of twenty years.
