Please
register my protest to the parole release of a deadly drunk
driver, Ricky / Rickey Carter, referenced above. The early release of this criminal will inflict immeasurable emotional
damage not only to the victims’ families, but also to
hundreds of other families in Parker County and Texas who have
felt the enormous loss and grief resulting from the senseless
tragedy of December 19, 1998.
Deciding
to drink and drive is no different than making the decision to
pick up a gun and go to the streets and randomly begin
shooting—both crimes are equally devastating and should be
punished accordingly.Had
this man shot these beautiful girls at point blank range with
a gun he wouldn’t even be considered for parole, and
that’s how it should be handled now.He committed a deadly crime with a deadly weapon—his
vehicle.He needs
to spend every day of his 20 year sentence behind bars.The families of these girls will feel the pain of their
great loss for more than 20 years!
